  1. Hi Justin,
I really like that your portfolio has a very clean layout. It all flowed really well. However, the main part of your portfolio was not the first thing on the page. I had to scroll down a bit to get to it. Though it was easy enough to find, it might work a little smoother if there were a way for that post to be at the top. I chose to read your version of the story of Phaethon. This was one of my favorite stories all semester, so I was really interested to read it. I think you did a good job of entertaining the reader. I never thought about the story from the point of view of the horses who pulled the chariot, so that was definitely interesting. My favorite paragraph was the one that started with “naturally” and ended with “that day.” There were so many little details in it that the paragraph really hooked me.

  2. You did such a great job on this portfolio. I really liked reading every story each story was different so it gave this portfolio a wide array of choices to choose from. The pictures gave a nice visual on characters, settings, or events that were happening. I also like how you put multiple pictures in one story instead of the required one picture. The way you changed the stories were all different and that was good because we still got the essence of the original.

I felt like all the stories were very well written. I didn’t see any grammatical errors or confusing parts, so you did a good job with editing. The stories were very captivating and I really liked reading the Observations of Mr. Yamamoto story. It was written very differently than the others and that really pulled me in. Writing it like a journal was a very creative move. You did a great job with this and I’m glad I read this.

  3. Justin,

I nominated your portfolio as one of my favorites and I am so glad to see that other people also thought the same thing about your work. I think that your project engages me the most because of the clean and straightforward layout that you have going on. Not only that, your writing is in such great shape and I have always enjoyed every story that I have read in your project. I think that my favorite story was the Mr. Yamamoto story. I really loved the idea of the crazy patient and the doctor journaling his actions in his daily life. Like i said you do such a great job. You also do an excellent job in adding your pictures in places that really land naturally and helped me visualize what was going on while reading. This was definitely nomination worthy work. Excellent job! Hopefully you win at the end of this week. I am rooting for you!
